The Japanese Chin is small, round-headed, and has large dark eyes. He has a short nose and triangular drop ears. The Japanese Chin has a clean, silky coat. He stands approximately 8 to 11 inches tall and weighs 5 to 11 pounds.
The Japanese Chin makes an excellent companion. He is an energetic, small breed dog. He proudly carries his tail plumed over his back. His name was changed from Japanese Spaniel to Japanese Chin in 1977. He is very loving and affectionate and anxious to please his owner. They need exercise on a regular basis, but use caution in extreme heat.
They make a wonderful family pet and love being lap dogs. They also get along with other animals very well. We at Timber View Kennel are anxiously awaiting several litters of Chins! Go to Puppies Available in our links to see if there are any Chin puppies at this time.
