The Bichon Frise is a small dog. He usually stands 9-12 inches tall and weighs 7-12 pounds. He has an appealing white coat. His fur has two coats; the outer coat is textured and loosely curled and the inner coat is soft, silky, and is 3 to 4 inches long.
The Bichon loves human company. He is smart, affectionate, and outgoing. He is a lively and spirited dog. The Bichon is not a barker. He is a happy and loveable dog. They need owners that have pretty much the same personality as them. They need to be socialized just like all breeds of dogs do. They often times live to be 15 or more years of age.
