The Beagle is a hardy, strong, small hound. They resemble a small English Foxhound. Their brown or hazel eyes have a sweet, pleading expression. They weigh 20 to 25 pounds. Beagles generally live up to 15 years of age. They stand anywhere from 13 to 16 inches tall. Beagles have a distinct howl. They have a sleek, short coat that may come in any hound color.

The French Bulldog is a sturdy and stout, little dog. They weigh from 19 to 28 pounds. Frenchies stand about 12 inches high. They have large, rounded ears. French Bulldogs have a short muzzle and a strong, square jaw. Their square, flat head can be compared to that of the English Bulldog's. The Frenchie's head is not as massive though. Their shoulders are wider than their back ends.
